To suit the requirements of drivers with limited upper body strength and strong lower limb control, this fully mechanical solution allows the driver to steer with their left leg using a rotating footplate.
The accelerator and brake are operated with their right leg using the original pedals. The driver does not need to use their arms to manoeuvre the vehicle.

With practice tight manoeuvres such as three point turns are simple thanks to clever mechanical design and improved power steering to lighten the steering.
The steering wheel remains operational and turns with the footplate to allow for able-bodied use and to help maintain a ‘factory-finish’ look. The footplate has a cover to be used when the vehicle is being driven using the steering wheel.
