Assisting people with disabilities with their mobility needs.

Wow, can you believe it’s already December? Times flies fast, doesn’t it? It has been a very hectic month with lockdowns, restrictions, and use of masks, etc. We thank all of our clients and participants for their patience.
Even with all the extra stress, it has still been a massive month. Check out below to see our highlights for this month plus some special announcements!

Let’s start with Steve! He just got his license reinstated plus we also added a few modifications to his car. Just look how smoothly he drives with his new spinner knob and hand controls.

We also installed these very nifty hand control in Keith’s vehicle. Check out our quick demo below:

Another spinner knob installation for one of our clients. He had his right arm amputated due to a work injury. He now enjoys driving seamlessly with this very functional spinner knob that has indicators, horn, wipers and high beams all within reach of his fingertips.

If you, a relative or a client of yours need these types of modification or driving lessons, feel free to contact us here at Williams OT Driver Assessments and Rehab.

The annual International Day of People with Disability is Dec 3rd. We love it ♿️

The theme for IDPwD 2020 is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 World”

We are highlighting disability-inclusive driving, disability accessible community transport and sustainable solutions.

Here’s a little throwback video to last year’s Demo Day which was held during the International Day for People with Disabilities. We are looking forward to next year when we can do this again. In the mean time, let’s all stay safe and help the world beat COVID.

A wonderful walkthrough of one of our client’s vehicle. This is a drive from wheelchair conversion with e-radial hand controls. This is one of our favourite setups!
Want to know more? Make sure to message us by replying through this email or call our office.

Exciting news! Automobility is coming back to South Australia. No company in SA do a wheelchair access conversion through to the second row.

If you are considering this style of conversion as a passenger or even a possible driving option with a 4-way base driver’s seat. Now is the time to make a booking. If you want to know ok w more comment below and we will send you a message with more information.

ATTENTION NDIS DELEGATES
This modification can make a massive difference and a wheelchair access van is not always needed. Plus it is safer than travelling in a wheelchair.

Holiday Schedule

Please note that Williams OT will be on holiday break from December 18 and we will be back on January 4, 2021.
If you have any appointments scheduled through that period with a driving instructor, please make sure to contact them directly for any changes.

Great News

We are also happy to announce that Williams OT has hired and trained another driver trained OT. Welcome, Heather. We are super excited to have you on board. We have also signed a contract with Skye who starts after Christmas and will undertake her training in the new year. This is wonderful news and we are hopeful that this will help make a massive difference and let us see all those that are waiting for their appointments sooner.
